Graduate Student Networking

Hello graduate students and postdoctoral fellows! Have you ever wondered what exactly “networking” is, if and how it can benefit your career, and how to do it effectively? Are you anxious when approaching other professionals in a networking environment? Are you simply interested in meeting and talking with students from other departments? If so, the Graduate Student Government is hosting the perfect workshop for you!

GSG is continuing its professional development series with a professional development workshop entitled “Graduate Student Networking.” A presentation on networking tips will be given by Career Services and, afterward, students will be encouraged to practice these tips on one another in a “mock conference” style. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet students from other departments, practice conversational English skills, and foster future networking and collaboration connections!
This event will take place on Wednesday, October 9th, from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in the Memorial Union Building, Ballroom B2&B3. Refreshments will be provided. Space is limited so be sure to register using the following link: https://mtu.libcal.com/event/5814741
